Roger Brown

BP has recently reorganized it's businesses on the West Coast to create a fully integrated business from well head through Refining and Distribution to end customers. Roger is responsible for the performance of this integrated business including the Arco brand, Gasoline, Diesel and Coke marketing together with optimizing the Crude supply and Product sales from BP's Refineries at Cherry Point and Carson.

Roger was most recently based in Moscow as Vice President for Downstream Performance, Planning and Strategy for BP’s Russian joint venture TNK-BP. With Crude Oil production of over 1.5 Million barrels per day, Refining capacity of 600kbd and over 5,000 retail sites across Russia TNK-BP is one of the largest oil companies in the World. Roger spent over 4 years in Russia to oversee the formation of this joint venture and it's growth into one of the most successful oil companies in the world.

Previously he was Chief Operating Officer of BP's Integrated Supply and Trading business in Europe and Africa. In this role Roger was responsible for the sales of BP's crude oil production, the optimization of it's refineries and the supply of fuels to it's marketing business in Europe and Africa. He also managed BP's large entrepreneurial trading team in London. Roger has spent most of his career in Trading & Supply with short periods in Aviation, Fuels and Lubricants sales roles.

Roger joined BP Oil in the UK in 1985 and has spent a large part of his career on International assignments with postings to Kuwait, Singapore, Dubai, Australia, Russia and now America.

He graduated from Loughborough University with an Engineering Degree specializing in Robotics. He has three daughters aged 12, 14 and 4 months. Together with his wife and family he enjoys tennis, skiing, scuba diving and above all travel!
